Falabella plans eight Sodimac stores in Brazil

What: Falabella will open eight Sodimac stores in Brazil between 2022 and 2023.

Why is it important: Falabella announced that it will expand its operations in Brazil with the inauguration of eight new Sodimac stores, its home improvement chain.

These will add to the 53 already existing stores in Brazil. In 2013, Falabella bought 50.1% of the Brazilian chain Dicico and in 2018 acquired the rest of the property. Since then, they have adjusted their value proposition and been integrating their Sodimac brand in the country.
