Breuninger joins top 20 list for German online retail

What: The head of the e-commerce research department at the Cologne trade research institute EHI reports the top 1000 Germain online retailers for 2021.

Why it is important: Amazon and Otto remain the top two, however, Breuninger has broken into the top 20 as one of the 541 out of the top 1000 online stores which also had physical locations. 

The 1000 largest online shops increased their sales by 16.1% to 79.9 billion euros last year and the market share of the top ten remained at 40%.
