Galeries Lafayette's CEO, Nicolas Houzé will be appointed the president of CSF
What: Nicolas Houzé, the CEO of Galeries Lafayette has been appointed the new president of the Fashion and Luxury Sector Committee (CSF), succeeding Guillaume de Synes.
Why it is important: The CSF aims to serve as a platform for synthesis and information exchange within the industry. Houzé plans to be the voice of all stakeholders, from small and medium-sized enterprises to luxury groups, manufacturers, and distributors.
The CSF represents eight sectors and encompasses a total turnover of EUR 154 billion. Houzé will focus on implementing concrete and pragmatic measures, with an emphasis on sustainable development, digital transformation, and water resource management.
Houzé's main challenges include unifying the sector, obtaining funding for initiative, and gaining support from the Ministry of Culture and Bercy, the French Ministry of the Economy.
